Coming from south of France, Lisa Diaz worked in cinema after litterature and History studies at la Sorbonne, Paris. She directed her first short film in 2007, the Absentee (first price of the Moulin d’Andé Script Award). Then she has directed documentaries, 100 kmsapart (2008) and To be continued (2011), and other short fictions : Home Trip (2012), coproduced by national channel, France 2 ; the ear of a pianist (2014) ; Our dumb lips (2016) coproduced by the CNC production fund; Dad is a Super Hero (2017).
Her films were screened in french and international festivals and received several awards (best short film, best cinematography Awards, best script…). Lisa has participated in various training programme and writing residences such as la FEMIS, Groupe Ouest, Boostcamp or Lussas documentary residence…
In 2020 she will release a documentary about a company filmed during Avignon theatre festival, coproduced by french channel France 3, and a medium length comedy, Eva wishes. She is developing her first feature (Time to get away) which has received the CNC production fund in may 2020.
She has recently moved to the very far West of France, in Britanny.
