Coming from south of France, Lisa Diaz worked in cinema after litterature and History studies at la Sorbonne, Paris. She directed her first short film in 2007, the Absentee (first price of the Moulin d’Andé Script Award). Then she has directed documentaries, 100 kms apart (2008) and To be continued (2011), and other short fictions : Home Trip (2012), coproduced by national channel, France 2 ; the ear of a pianist (2014) ; Our dumb lips (2016) coproduced by the CNC production fund; Dad is a Super Hero (2017). Her films were screened in french and international festivals and received several awards (best short film, best cinematography Awards, best script…). Lisa has participated in various training programme and writing residences such as la FEMIS, Groupe Ouest, Boostcamp or Lussas documentary residence… She has directed two movies in 2019, a documentary about a theatre compagny during Avignon festival with french channel France 3, and a medium length comedy, Eva. She is developing her first feature (Time to get away).
She is now living in the very far West of France, in Britanny.
